It is the teacher's responsibility to assist their class when using the library. Librarians will be available to help with instruction and orientation as needed.
- Librarians can provide general and specific orientation when needed. Teachers should make sure to let the librarians know well in advance what they are planning to do in the library.
- Project based learning assignments should not be made without collaboration with the library media specialists.
- Librarians will also be available to assist in the classroom when a class is using the mobile labs. Prior planning is a must.
-
Classes cannot come to the library to check out books or use computers with a substitute.
-
Teachers may print to the library printer and the color printer by request. Please keep this to a minimum. Teachers are not to print copies from grade book programs, etc. Each department should have a printer for those type of jobs.

The library has videos and DVDs for check out by teachers. Please do not send students to check them out on your behalf. The videos and DVDs are curriculum driven. If teachers are needing an entertainment movie to use while having a substitute, they will have to provide that movie after first clearing it with the principal.

-
It is best if the teacher unplugs and hands out the laptops from the cart.
-
When taking up laptops, teachers must make sure that the laptops are positioned correctly and are plugged into the electrical connectors.
-
After returning the laptops to the library, the teacher MUST plug in the cart and TURN ON the cart. The teacher must then open the cart and make sure all lights are glowing on each computer.
-
It is a MUST that the teacher monitors the laptops when they are being used by the students. For easy monitoring, it is strongly suggested that teachers make sure all computers are facing the same direction . Do not leave students unattended while the laptops are in your classroom.
-
A remote software is used by the librarians to monitor the laptops as needed.
-
Please report problems with laptops immediately to the librarians.
